“This “Little Red Mullet” work began with the painting of the little red fish which could have been swimming in the local Glendowie estuary (Auckland). As there is only one fish depicted it points to the depredation of its habitat.
“”Outcrop” pictures a limestone outcrop but look at the shapes contained within it? I found it awesome when viewed subjectively – simply spellbinding in the scenes I saw within these abstract shapes. Was the entire history of Rekohu (Chatham Islands) before my eyes?
