Art making at eighty-five is much the same as it was when I was six or seven or even fifteen – the impetus is there.

Here are some water colours done at school/college. I was an active member of the local pony club in north Canterbury and yes we played polo-cross.

However there are now small changes with my art practice. I have become more confident drawing.
When it comes to painting I now look for an original approach. Depending on the materials I have chosen and the subject there may be a speedy depiction on paper or not! Some works can take years to resolve.
