Flowers Art Collective exhibition opening Grey 37 Scanlan Street, Grey Lynn, Auckland, Tues 25th June – Saturday July 6th. You are invited!

Above: The Flower Collective (myself far right).
This photo above was taken at the Malcom Smith Gallery in Howick last year. The exhibition was titled “Perspectives on THE Universal”. For the gallery, and within the collective, it was a challenge to unify all eleven artists. Each with highly individual approaches to the subject of universality.
I had concentrated on the colour the skies brought at sunrise. Red, yellow and blue do not naturally team up, but I played with grouping two different yellows, two different blues and the same with the colour red to see if I could find a compromise.

At the forthcoming exhibition at the Grey in Grey Lynn the members of the Flowers Collective have to find an “artistic passport to this country” keeping in mind that it will also be Matariki.
I can’t wait to see what everyone does!
